Constructed Spatiotemporal Action Recognition Model prototypes to aid real-time cashier less restaurant checkout.

MACHINE LEARNING RESEARCH ASSISTANT
January 2020 - May 2020
Assisted Professor Carlee Joe-Wong in research on Federated Machine Learning systems. Research was focused on enhancing a fault tolerant double auction system to share resources across distributed clusters of GPUs using Tensorflow on Apache Spark within a Django Framework Based Application.
Prototyping was done within a Docker container with intent to scale it to AWS or GCP in the full fledged system.
My role was to ensure system Fault Tolerance, fix existing bugs in the system, identify and implement enhancements which could improve system usability and coordinate with the research team to disperse system understanding.
DEEP LEARNING RESEARCH ASSISTANT
September 2019 - May 2020
Investigated the DeepLIFT Attribution Method (A. Shrikumar et al.) for explaining Deep Learning Models with Professor Piotr Mardziel. This project was a part of the Accountable Systems lab for influence directed explanations in Deep Learning.
Integrated the DeepLIFT API (A. Shrikumar et al.) in the Accountable Systems Project as a wrapper over existing functionality enabling attribution to be evaluated using DeepLIFT Backpropagation.
Also reviewed a number of readings on adversarial attacks, defenses and their mitigation and implemented a Membership Inference attack based on the content of one of the readings.

Upgraded complete Remittance and OLTP functionality for the world’s largest core banking product (Flexcube) as a Full Stack Engineer, working on a customized Oracle JET UI, Server Side J2EE and SQL Database 12c Framework with PL/SQL integration.

Designed a Product Spanning Image Modal functionality integrated into the OJET* UI framework to enable teller inspection of a customers’ signature. (* - Oracle JavaScript Extension Toolkit)

Mentored a team of junior developers ensuring high throughput across hierarchy by liaising delivery with upper management.

ASSOCIATE SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Developed the Login and Registration Functionality by integrating high throughput Fiserv Product APIs, with endpoints secured using WS Security, thereby providing an additional layer of transport level security.
Built a highly concurrent, multithreaded J2EE utility to automate web service connectivity validation, reducing QA latency.
Implemented an interactive bootstrap date picker with an embedded AJAX call to forecast fund transfer delivery.
Established Application Security through CSRF Token Validation, Sanitizing User Input and PI data encryption.
Constructed a Shell Script Utility to automate server logs’ inspection on Test and UAT servers, reducing turnaround time for log analysis by over 50%.
Received 7 ‘Star of the Month’ Awards and 1 ‘Star of the Quarter’ Award in lieu of excellent product delivery.
