THE FULL STORY

Siddharth Mehta - All the details

I have had the distinct opportunity to individually contribute to extensive production systems, having been designing, developing and deploying large and heterogenous software components in a fast-paced agile model for several years to date, while also for a year, having worked as a part of a dedicated and acclaimed service team at Fiserv, delivering rotational 24 by 7 support to a live digital banking solution operable on the world wide web. Further, as a result of technical and procedural expertise gained through the rigors of academics and previous work, I was also privileged to have worked in a Product Research and Development capacity by Oracle Software for an extensive core banking solution (Flexcube), one of the largest of its kind in the industry.

Individually, I consider myself a strict follower of the Darwinian principle – ‘Adaptation is key to survival’. Thus, to remain cognizant of advancements in the field of Analytics, I enrolled in a year-long part time program in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence offered by a leading Indian analytics education Institute – Great Lakes Institute of Management, and have gradually developed deep interest in this burgeoning field, having also taken the dreaded Deep Learning course at Carnegie Mellon University and undergone a research stint in model interpretability and fairness in Deep Learning also at Carnegie Mellon.

Though not restrictive to specific fields in computing research, it would be a delight to contribute to the advancement of Software Design Principles and Development Methodologies, having developed several live software solutions professionally. I have documented several abstracts and white papers recommending my employer process modifications in software development as well as staying committed to discovering the quickest method of reaching from Point A to Point B in software development. Further, I desire to utilize features in machine learning and artificial intelligence that could contribute to adaptive software as well as for reducing complexity in its development.

Other areas of interest include but are not restricted to Computer Vision, Fairness and Interpretability in Deep Learning, Design Patterns and their Implications in Software, Statistical Learning and of course myself as an individual :)
